Earlier today I did my last training walk (13km from Ringstead to Durdle door and then inland and back in a loop) in preparation for next weekend when 5 members of the AG Tree Services team are attempting the Jurassic Coast 100km Ultra Challenge to raise money for two charities (Parkinson’s UK and Weldmar Hospice).
These charities have supported members of mine and another team members families in recent years so we’d like to raise money to help such good causes.
I’m in no doubt that it is going to be extremely difficult as the walk takes us over the rugged coastal terrain and on the first day alone, we will be waking for around 15-16 hours and the total hill climbs is on a par with the height of Ben Nevis. We get a couple of hours sleep then complete the task in day two!
